R&R Means Rapids And Relaxation

R&R stands for Rapids and Relaxation, which is a perfect way to describe the experience of whitewater rafting. Whitewater rafting combines the thrill of navigating fast-moving rapids with moments of peaceful relaxation as you take in stunning views from your boat. Whether you’re an experienced rafter or just starting out, R&R should be on your must-do list this summer!

Feeling stressed? Everyone faces stress from time to time. However, long-term stress can build up and hurt health. Taking steps to reduce and cope with stress can prevent these effects. Frequent stress can cause the body to be in a heightened state of stress most of the time, which leads to suppressed immunity, digestive and reproductive problems, increased aging, and a greater risk of heart attack and stroke. Stress can also make you more vulnerable to mental health concerns like depression and anxiety. There are many reasons why you might find it hard to unwind: Maybe you feel guilty about taking time for yourself, or your daily life is so busy that downtime feels impossible. Perhaps you live with an anxiety disorder or another condition that creates tension.

Sometimes, you might turn to an activity that seems relaxing but leaves you feeling more depleted afterward — for example, recreational substance use or scrolling on social media. But there are lots of stress reduction techniques that you may find more stimulating.
